Special Rules & Crate Specifications

Brachycephalic Breeds: Prohibited in checked baggage. Allowed in-cabin only if pet fits standard under-seat carrier rules.

Strong Breed Crates: Rigid metal, wood, or wire-mesh containers required for classified strong breeds; plastic crates are strictly prohibited. Multi-Pet Kennels: Maximum of 2 fully weaned puppies/kittens (12 weeks to 6 months) of the identical species allowed per crate. Behavior Clauses: The airline retains absolute authority to deny transit for any animal showing aggressive tendencies or cage-destructive behavior.

Service Dogs

Fly free in-cabin. Must remain at handler's feet. Additional floor space for larger service dogs is provided 100% free strictly on domestic flights within Canada, but must be purchased for international destinations.

Emotional Support Animals

Not recognized as service animals. Treated strictly as standard household pets subject to standard in-cabin/checked luggage limits, fees, and booking caps.

Flight Limitations & Seasonal Caps

Strict winter bans apply. Cats and dogs under 10 lbs are prohibited from checked holds between November 1 and March 31. Checked baggage holds are closed to all pets during peak winter holiday windows (December 18 to January 4).
