Service Dogs

Fly free in passenger cabin. Must remain at handler's feet, under the seat, or in lap if small enough. Requires submission of official federal DOT Air Transportation forms at least 48 hours prior to flight departure.

Emotional Support Animals

Not recognized as service animals under current DOT guidelines. Treated strictly as standard household companions subject to standard $150–$200 cabin fees, sizing constraints, and early booking caps.

Flight Limitations & Seasonal Caps

Strict cabin routing restrictions apply. Pets are completely prohibited from traveling inside flat-bed seat rows, international Delta One, or Premium Select cabins due to a total lack of under-seat layout space. In-cabin pets are barred on international routes to the United Kingdom, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UAE. Active 2026 mandates require an accredited vet New World Screwworm inspection certificate within 5 days of departure for all dog flights heading into Mexico.
