Flat-faced or brachycephalic breeds are heavily restricted due to safety concerns. This includes bulldogs and pugs.

International pet travel is completely prohibited. In-cabin pets are barred in First Class on all North American routes and entirely blocked on long-haul flights to/from JFK, BOS, AUS, and SLC. Pets arriving in Honolulu after 4:30 PM HST face mandatory overnight state quarantine holding at the owner's expense.
